I am honored and proud to contribute to the launch of this promising website, which serves as a hub for news, updates, information, and stories from the heart of Palestine. We aim for this website to reconnect millions of Palestinians in the diaspora with their roots and rebuild their connections to Palestine.

This project would not have come to fruition if not for the generous contribution from the Palestinian Student Scholarship Fund (PSSF). Their commitment to linking Palestinians to their origins, roots, and heritage played a crucial role in realizing this project. Palestinian heritage is interwoven with the threads of history, culture, and tradition, shaping and reinforcing our collective identity.

Throughout the years, Palestine’s rich heritage has faced alarming destruction and neglect. Some connections and pieces of our national memory have been lost and some deliberately demolished. Despite 75 years of occupation and aggression, successive generations in the diaspora have not allowed their collective pain to diminish their sense of identity. Instead, they have forged a unique identity of their own, embodying the resilience and determination that comes with being Palestinian. We share the same resilience, always seeking avenues to bring us back home.

With around 6 million Palestinians scattered in global diaspora, our identity remains steadfast in our soil and soul. No matter the distance, the passing years, or being well-integrated into new communities, our Palestinian identity remains unshaken.. We are like seeds that never wither, wilt, or bend.  It is for the new generation and beyond that we dedicate this website to keep their connections to Palestine vivid and vibrant.

Amidst the challenging circumstances in our country, PSSF has managed to transcend boundaries and barriers reaching out to Palestinian students in the West Bank including East Jerusalem in addition to Gaza and those students from 1948 who study in Palestinian universities.  Palestinian students across Palestine face tremendous challenges and risks that no one else can imagine, as they navigate checkpoints, barriers, and walls to access their basic right to education. Through this rich and informative website, PSSF is now building yet another bridge to Palestine, creating a new interactive platform to safeguard our collective memory and national identity.

This website embarks on a mission to document the journey of thousands of Palestinians who have built resilience and embraced a bright present despite a challenging past. It will share cultural, academic, and economic updates, delving into the annals of history to unearth feature stories and narratives. It aspires not only to rebuild connections with Palestinians across the world but also to enrich the oral history of Palestine itself.

On your trip through this website, you will find a gallery of photographs, a repository of documents and narratives that will transport you to the very heart of our homeland, allowing you to bond with its people, no matter where you are in the world.  We invite you all to engage with this platform, contribute your own stories, and communicate your experiences. Together, we will build a living tapestry of our heritage that will always continue to grow, evolve, and inspire others.

I express my deepest gratitude to all those who have dedicated their time, effort, and passion to bring this website to life. It is through your tireless commitment that we have the privilege to embark on this initiative.
